On 25th July 2022, the Department of English, Sikkim Government College, Namchi hosted an event –
Know your Authors: The Muse (Unleashing Creativity), where the chief guest was Namo Dixit, a senior
journalist in Sikkim express. Two significant authors appeared as the resource persons: Dr. Satyadeep
Chettri and Pankaj Giri;

On 16th July 2022, One day Training cum Awareness programme on Disaster Management was organized by National Cadet Corps ( 1SK Girls Battalion and 4 SK NCC Battalion) of Sikkim Government College Namchi in collaboration with Shri Sathya Sai Seva Organization Disaster Management Team Sikkim. Training programme highlighted the different theoretical and practical knowledge on Disaster Management like;

Blooming Sikkim, one the reputed NGO of Sikkim has organized one day “Tree Plantation Drive” on 15/07/2022 in collaboration with SGC, Namchi. More than 100 species of tree saplings were planted in and around the college premises.

Some active students of the Sikkim Government college Namchi Installation of new READ & KEEP bookshelf inside college campus. नाम्ची सरकारी महाविद्यालय नेपाली विभागको आयोजनामा २०८ औं भानु जयन्ती भव्य रूपमा पालन गरियो । यस कार्यक्रमका मुख्य अतिथि माननीय अध्यक्ष शहरी विकास विभाग  श्री के. बि. राई हुनुहुन्थ्यो। यसरी नै विशिष्ट अतिथिको रूपमा संस्कृति विभाग सिक्किम सरकारका सल्लाहकार भीमकुमारी शर्मा, वन एवं भूमि प्रयोग विभागका सल्लाहकार भगिरथ राई, सडक एवं पुल विभागका अध्यक्ष श्री साईमन राई, आवास बोर्डका अध्यक्ष श्री कर्मा टाशी भुटिया

NSS volunteers of SGC, Namchi organized one day plantation program theme as “Mother Earth”. Students involves of various department for the plantation of plant species. It includes different species of plants viz., tree, Medicinal plants, ornaments plants, etc., are planted in the college avenue.
