SGC Namchi, in collaboration with IQAC, proudly celebrated Constitution Day on 26th November at the Seminar Hall. The program began at 10:30 AM and was hosted by Simran Pradhan.

The event commenced with the traditional offering of khadas to the resource person by the HOD Dr. Susan Rai. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment.

The HOD delivered the welcome speech, highlighting the relevance of the Constitution in today’s society.

The Principal then addressed the gathering and shed light on the Fundamental Rights, their responsibilities, and the significance of celebrating Constitution Day.

A group reading of the Preamble of India was conducted, led by Simran Pradhan, with active participation from everyone present.

The main event was the talk by the resource person, Advocate Nitya Sharma. She elaborated on:

* Constitution Day as Samvidhan Diwas

* The role of the Drafting Committee and the process of constitution-making

* India’s Constitution as one of the bulkiest in the world

* Contributions of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Father of the Indian Constitution

* Ideas taken from various countries to build up Indian constitution

•Fundamental Rights (including those inspired by the USSR)

* Preamble, Writs, DPSP

The talk was followed by an engaging interactive quiz session conducted by Anisha Manger from the 5th Semester, which added excitement to the program.

A token of appreciation was presented to Advocate Nitya Sharma by our HOD, Dr. Susan Rai.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Panu O’Pazo, marking the end of an programme.
