On 9th April, 2025, at 11am, a meeting of the IQAC was held in the IQAC office, Sikkim Govt. College Namchi, headed by the chair person of the college Dr. Deepak Tewari and Coordinator Dr. Laxmi Rai.
The main reason behind the meeting was to deliberate on the key objectives of the IQAC and to allocate responsibilities among the members, ensuring a clear distribution of tasks and a unified approach towards achieving the desired outcomes.
The agendas discussed in the meeting were:
- Emphasizing on research and Training programmes, as well as collaborating with stakeholders.
- Promoting use of technology in teaching during classes for visual learning.
- Inviting resource persons for regional language sessions and vocational courses.
- Awareness program for the teachers regarding funding agencies for Research endeavors.
- Implementation of NEP 2020.
- Emphasis on Placement drives and career counseling along with value added courses.
- Organizing certificate courses on folklore, and languages like Rai, Subba etc (offline and online)
- Awareness drives to be done under the banner of IQAC.
- To work on the submission of AQUAR 2023-2024.
- Collection and analysis of feedback after events through Google forms and actions taken as a follow up measure.
- A general format to be set for Google forms.
- To ensure that reports are submitted by the respective departments on time.
- Inclusion of 2-3 members in each criterion.
- To work for the making of IQAC calendar with departmental activities and reports.
- A separate IQAC website or link to be developed apart from the official college website to post updates about the cell.
- The college to initiate awareness programs for IQAC members.
- The college to initiate awareness programs for Research output among students and teachers.
- Regular meetings to be conducted with the Coordinator of IQAC and various committee heads, as well as HODs of various departments.
- The IQAC meeting to be conducted once a week to see the progress of each criterion.
- Students representatives of the IQAC cell to be awarded with badges and certificates after they graduate.
- Creation of a separate departmental calender and facebook page with updates of activities on a daily basis.
