Namchi, 20.05.2025: Sikkim Design Week 2025 (SDW 2025) was organised by the Commerce and Industries Department, Government of Sikkim from the 19th to 20th of May 2025 at Town Hall, Namchi. The initiative aimed to promote design thinking, innovation, creative economy and youth entrepreneurship. The students from Sikkim Government College, Namchi also participated in the said programme. The students attended a two days workshop by National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad. The trainer for the workshop was Mr. Shiva Soni of NID. In the workshop the students learned to create paper popup art/design and visual storytelling skills. Overall, it helped the student to boost their creative mindset and guide them towards creative thinking. The programme concluded with the felicitation and certificate distribution to the participating students.
