The session aimed to create awareness among students about safe digital transactions and the importance of cyber safety in the modern financial system.
The programme commenced with the arrival of the guest, Dr. Sanjaya Kumar Subba, Vice Principal of the college. The event began with a welcome speech delivered by Mrs. Chang Doma Sherpa, Assistant Professor, who highlighted the significance of understanding digital payment systems in today’s economy.
The first lecture was delivered by Dr. Sabita Sapkota, Assistant Professor, who elaborated on the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India regarding digital payment system. She explained various modes of digital transactions and emphasized the need for secure and responsible usage.
The second lecture was delivered by Mr. Shekhar Khatiwara, Assistant Professor, who focused on cyber safety. He discussed common online threats, preventive measures, and best practices to protect personal and financial information in the digital space.
Dr. Sanjaya Kumar Subba, Vice Principal, addressed the gathering with a short speech, appreciating the initiative taken by the department and encouraging students to stay informed and cautious while using digital platforms.
