On 7th November, 2024, the Department of English, Sikkim Government College, Namchi held a one day workshop on Folklore in English Literature, delving into the captivating realms of stories, symbols and influences.
The guest speaker was Dr. Kikee Doma Bhutia, a Research Fellow of Asia Centre from the University of Estonia, Tartu, and also an alumni of the College.
The objective of the workshop was to explore the significance of folklore in English Literature, examining its narrative traditions, symbolic expressions, and profound impact on contemporary writing.
