Introduction to Bhutia Department
Bhutia language was taught in Namchi Govt. college under the North Bengal University until the Year 2008 as an elective subject.
The Bhutia honors course was introduced in the year 2012.It is affiliated to the Central University of Sikkim.
In the first year 2008 the enrollment in the department was 11students and the numbers has been increasing gradually over the years.
