Sikkim Government College, Namchi, 28.09.2026: A career counselling session named “Careers in the Social Sector” was conducted by Azam Premji University at the auditorium. It was attended by the fifth semester undergraduate students and post graduate student of all the departments.

The resource person for the session was Ms. Prateeti Prasad from the University. She started the session by giving a brief introduction to the social sector. She explained the students about what constitutes a social sector and also the areas to work under the sector. People from various departmental backgrounds can work in this sector. She took the students through some programmes and courses offered by Azim Premji University specially focused for the students interested in working in the social sector. She also informed the students on the organisations actively working and hiring for different roles in the social sector.

Lastly, an interactive session concluded the programme where the students cleared their doubts with the resource person.
