The Department of Bhutia organized a talk on “Phonetics of Bhutia Language” on 22nd September 2026. The session was conducted by Changa Doma Bhutia, Faculty, Department of Bhutia.
The talk introduced the students to the basic concepts of phonetics and its importance in the study of language. The session focused on the sounds of the Bhutia language, their production, pronunciation, and the basic distinction between different speech sounds.
The lecture was conducted in a simple and interactive manner to help students understand the basic aspects of Bhutia phonetics. The students actively participated in the session and gained a better understanding of the sound system and pronunciation of the Bhutia language.
