In observance of World Blood Donor Day and Week, students and staff members of Sikkim Government College, Namchi actively participated in a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp organized by Sikkim Alpine University in collaboration with the Voluntary Blood Donors Association of Sikkim (VBDAS) and the Sikkim State AIDS Control Society.

The camp was held on 10th June 2026 at the Programme Hall of Sikkim Alpine University, Kamrang from 10:00 AM onwards. The initiative was conducted to support patients admitted to Namchi District Hospital and to promote awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation.

A number of enthusiastic students and staff members from our college came forward to donate blood and contribute to this noble cause. Their participation reflected a strong sense of social responsibility and commitment to community welfare. The event also served as an opportunity to educate young people about the lifesaving impact of regular and voluntary blood donation.

Representatives of the organizing agencies appreciated the donors for their generous contribution and highlighted the continuing need for safe blood to meet medical emergencies and treatment requirements. The camp was conducted under proper medical supervision, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.

The college management commended the students and staff for their active involvement and encouraged continued participation in humanitarian and community-service initiatives. Such activities not only help save lives but also foster compassion, solidarity, and civic responsibility among members of the academic community.

The participation of students and staff in the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was a meaningful contribution to society and a demonstration of the institution's commitment to promoting health, service, and social awareness. The event successfully reinforced the message:
